About Jeni Paradiso

Jeni Paradiso is a fusion belly dance artist, choreographer, and educator whose work celebrates musicality, sensuality, theatricality, and the freedom of personal expression.

With a distinctive style shaped by years of dance, artistic exploration, and teaching, Jeni brings together the rich traditions of belly dance with her own creative influences to create performances and learning experiences that are expressive, energetic, and uniquely her own.

Jeni is passionate about sharing her approach with dancers and communities around the world. Through guest workshops, choreography intensives, performances, and visiting-artist experiences, she invites dancers to explore musical interpretation, develop their artistry, and discover the power of movement as a form of self-expression.

With a master's degree in teaching the arts and more than 30 years of experience working with learners of all ages, Jeni brings both artistic depth and an educator's perspective to her work. She has studied a variety of belly dance styles and histories with renowned teachers and performers, including Sadie Marquardt, Diva Darina, Ahmed Hussien, and Nourhan Sharif.

For more than 15 years, Jeni has taught belly dance, created and directed the much-loved Shimmies belly dance troupe, and performed in shows, festivals, and television appearances. Her teaching draws on her love of movement, her appreciation for the cultural richness of belly dance, and her belief that every dancer has a unique artistic voice waiting to emerge.

Now based in Miami, Jeni teaches in person and virtually and is expanding her work through travel, collaborations, and guest engagements throughout the United States and internationally.

Paradiso Belly Dance is an invitation to move, create, connect, and discover what is possible when dance becomes your own.
